Shanghai, China – June 7, 2025 – Endflame today launched Instants, a heartwarming narrative puzzle game built around assembling family photo albums, on PC via Steam and on Nintendo Switch. The release coincides with the 2025 Wholesome Direct. SpaceJazz Games is publishing Instants in China.
Gameplay centers on chronological photo puzzles. Players receive stacks of family pictures and must arrange them in the correct order inside curated albums, using visual clues — aging faces, changing rooms, seasonal details — to reconstruct a multi-generational story. When an album clicks into place, narrative context fills in around the images, rewarding patience and observation more than speed.
Beyond sequencing, Instants encourages creative scrapbooking. Players decorate pages with backgrounds, stickers, typography, and other flourishes unlocked through progress, turning each solved album into a keepsake as much as a puzzle solution. An optional companion can offer hints when a layout stalls, keeping the tone supportive rather than punitive.
Player reception has been Very Positive on Steam, and the game later earned Steam Deck Verified status after post-launch polish. Reviewers and players alike have pointed to Instants’ gentle pacing and emotional payoff as standouts in the cozy narrative-puzzle space.
